Donating Your Time – Become a Volunteer

Volunteers play an important role at Exceptional Care & Training Center

Exceptional Care offers unique opportunities for services in a wide variety of areas. Some volunteer opportunities include work with residents, doing landscaping and lawn work, or bringing a pet to visit with residents for Pet Therapy. Volunteers are also needed to help with the Art Therapy Program and Outings.

Volunteers must be at least 16, and interested candidates must go through an application process with the Program Director/Volunteer Coordinator. Training is provided for volunteers.

Foster Grandparent Program

ECTC residents and staff enjoy the time, attention and dedication of many Foster Grandparents. These wonderful volunteers assist with resident programs, various activities such reading books and going for walks or simply holding a resident’s hand.

Being a Foster Grandparent is a rewarding experience and provides a useful and meaningful purpose in the life of the grandparent. Besides assisting the resident and the site supervisor, the Foster Grandparents also expand on their own personal lives with friendships and experiences. They keep mentally active and utilize their special talents, interests, and creative abilities.

Qualifications to be a Foster Grandparent at Exceptional Care through Tri-County Opportunities Council
